The Oregon Story

Our connections to the University of Oregon are meaningful and unique. They include individual and collective experiences spanning from the university classroom to the picturesque campus; from the state-of-the-art laboratories to the historic studios; from the memories of being a student athlete to the excitement of being a fan.

The Ford Alumni Center will be dedicated to these connections. It will connect the past, present and future of the University of Oregon. Prospective students and their family members, current students, staff and faculty, visiting alumni and community members will all be welcome.

The Ford Alumni Center will be a meeting place and center of activity where Ducks can reconnect. Enhanced by engaging architectural and interpretive elements, it will also be a place for displaying and celebrating the University of Oregon story.

By utilizing the latest in interactive media, unique among collegiate alumni or welcome centers, the Ford Alumni Center is designed to inform and inspire visitors through stories. Our story is one of innovators and dreamers; academicians and leaders; thinkers and builders. It is the story of our heroes, our history and our accomplishments, as well as our vision and aspirations for the future.

On April 30, 2010, the University of Oregon recognized alumni whose professional achievements in business have been marked by unprecedented success, innovation, and leadership at the Oregon Business Hall of Fame dinner and reception.

The University of Oregon Business Hall of Fame recognizes those alumni Inductees are graduates from any UO school or college and have served at the highest levels within regional, national, and international companies. Those in the Business Hall of Fame represent a variety of businesses, all of which have added value to society while bringing product and service innovation to the global marketplace.
